Board of Directors - Election Process
The election process for new members to the WAIMH Board of Directors usually takes around 3-4 months. The next election will be in 2020 for the 2020-2024 term. Below you can find the previous election process as a reference on the process.
WAIMH members (2018 and 2019) have received all the Nomination materials via email in November 2019. Current members can also find the materials from this page (please note File Library below).
We wish to thank you for taking part in voting a WAIMH Board member for the term 2018-2021. We want specially to thank the four candidates: Astrid Berg, Holly Brophy-Herb, Nicole Letourneau and Julie Stone, for their dedication to promote infant mental health globally.
Altogether 1161 WAIMH members (2016 or 2017) were eligible to vote in the election taking place 15th November - 15th December 2017 (GMT). A member could vote for one candidate. A total of 239 members cast their vote. The voter turnout was at 20.6%. The results show that Astrid Berg was elected with 79 votes. The numbers of votes for the other candidates were: Julie Stone 75, Nicole Letourneau 43 and Holly Brophy-Herb 42 votes.
What are the tasks of the WAIMH Board?
The Board of Directors manages the business of the association and exercises all corporate powers.
