UNICEF reports that Sudan is now the world’s largest and most devastating humanitarian crisis, with over 30 million people – more than half of them children - living in the grip of mass atrocities, famine, and deadly disease. WAIMH joins UNICEF in its call for the immediate protection of children and to secure humanitarian access, so aid can reach those in need and help alleviate this generational catastrophe. World Health Day 2025: Saving Mothers, Protecting Newborns, Securing South Sudan’s Future. | WHO | Regional Office for Africa WAIMH also joins the WHO's call for a renewed collective focus on integrated maternal and newborn health in Sudan, particularly during this humanitarian crisis. We make a call to leaders internationally to come together to find a way to stop the killing of civilians in Sudan, and to ensure that all babies and children receive food and the aid needed.

WAIMH joins the call of the WHO and the ICRC Gaza now worse than hell on earth, humanitarian chief tells BBC - BBC News to bring an end to the starving of people in Gaza.
